Dr. Tiffany provides a balance of holistic and western medicine. Holistic medicine may be used for treating allergies , arthritis, and numerous other illnesses or injuries. Holistic medicine is a non-invasive, painless treatment for our pets. We highly recommend that you consider these treatments for your senior pets.

Tiffany Margolin, DVM, Diplomate ABVP-Avian, Acupuncture and VOM Certified, is our veterinary holistic specialist. Dr. Margolin is widely known for her caring and thoughtful approach to healing. At WVAH our doctors provide the following treatments:

Acupuncture is the insertion of tiny, sterile stainless steel needles in precise locations on your pet's body. This placement sends messages directly to the central nervous system. The brain then responds by sending natural healing chemicals to the affected areas, improving blood supply, stopping pain, and repairing damaged tissues. Some conditions that respond well to acupuncture include muscle pain, arthritis (in conjunction with VOM), disc disease, decreased appetite, inflammatory bowel disease, skin allergies, nerve weakness and paralysis, reproductive disorders and other internal disorders.

Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation (VOM)
VOM is a chiropractic technique that utilizes a gentle activator to bring health back to your pet's musculoskeletal system. Categorized uniquely (not chiropractic manipulation of bones), it is specifically engineered to GENTLY rehabilitate the blood supply to intervertebral discs, those areas responsible for spinal health. Dr. Margolin is trained in this technique and has had excellent success with both keeping athletic dogs injury-free, and rehabilitating more chronic problems in older pets.

Herbal Treatment
- The use of Herbs to treat various illnesses in animals has been growing steadily in the Western World. We believe Herbal therapy in conjunction with Acupuncture or VOM should be used in some cases to
maximize the healing outcome.

Please call us for more information about what these integrative healing techniques can do for your dog, cat or small mammal.
